We love morning coffee in our house but when my partner discovered that his stomach was reacting badly to milk, he was worried it might be the end of our morning ritual. Not being a fan of both almond and soy milk made it even harder. But when we found Natrel latose free 3.25%, we rejoiced! Finally, we have a milk that his stomach can tolerate that's still delicious and creamy.
Since lactose intolerance is a problem that is becoming more and more wide spread, I have begun developing lactose free recipes for my clients. We only add minute amounts of these stabilizers, chosen for a specific effect depending on the use of each cream.
For example: although cream, in any form, is suitable for coffee, the richer variety leaves a greasy film on your cup. With our Lactose Free 10% Coffee Cream, you’re guaranteed the same result thanks to the stabilizers we use. With our Lactose Free 35% Whipping Cream, stabilizers help improve the whipping quality. Without them, our cream would just fall flat after a few hours – not what you want for a decent dessert.WHAT IS LACTOSE?
Milk contains natural sugar, called lactose. Normally, when you eat or drink a product with milk, your body produces an enzyme called lactase. Lactase breaks down lactose, allowing your body to absorb it. Lactase levels vary from individual to individual, and our production of lactase gradually decreases as we age.
If you’re lactose intolerant, it could be because your body doesn’t have enough lactase. Undigested sugar from lactose ferments, occasionally causing gas and acidity.
Since the severity of symptoms varies greatly from person to person, there are many ways to treat lactose intolerance. While some people have to give up dairy products completely, others may simply limit their consumption or consume lactose free dairy products.
Natrel has a solution for you: lactose free milk that tastes like fresh milk.
