Apple, cheese and Caramel Latte protein smoothie

Give in to the temptation of the delectable mix of apple, cheese and caramel latte! This smoothie is a guilt-free version that you can enjoy as soon as you wake up. Creamy and rich in protein, it is just the thing for mornings when you need to get out the door quickly.

Proteins have the reputation to help keep hunger pangs away between meals (so you feel full, as if you had eaten solid food). Fresh cottage cheese (14 g of proteins for ½ cup) or tofu (6 g of proteins for ½ cup) in this smoothie are good sources of protein. The addition of hemp seeds provides about 5 g of protein per tablespoon. Since liquid foods are more quickly broken down than solid foods, a handful of hemp seeds or even a homemade mini-muffin will keep you feeling full a little longer.

Preparation

  1. Purée all the ingredients, except for the hemp seeds, in a blender until smooth. Garnish with the seeds. Enjoy immediately.
