Spiced syrup for coffee
Homemade spiced syrup is preferable to the ones you buy at the market, since it doesn’t contain any artificial flavours, only real infused spices. I like to serve my pumpkin pie with a spiced syrup latte.
- Stir all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil.
- Stir well with a wooden spoon until the sugar is completely dissolved. Cook for 5 minutes over medium heat, stirring regularly.
- Remove from heat and allow syrup to infuse for 15 minutes. Strain to remove the spices.
- Pour into a small glass bottle.
