Caramel béchamel sauce for white meat

I like to make this sauce when I want to enjoy a no-fuss salty-sweet dish. This original sauce for savoury dishes is so simple to prepare that it will become a mealtime regular. Try it with a few slices of pan-cooked pork for a delightful pairing. The caramel latte flavoured milk makes cooking a breeze and it’s a great way to create surprising, flavourful recipes.

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the flour and mix.
  2. Gradually pour in the milk, mixing with a whisk. Add the salt, pepper, nutmeg and herbes de Provence. Cook on high heat, whisking until the sauce thickens (about 7 to 10 minutes).
  3. Serve as an accompaniment to white meat.
