To start the day on the right foot, what could be better than a healthy, delicious and fast breakfast filled with protein? Unfortunately, you don't have time every day to make and enjoy a cup of coffee peacefully. Sound familiar? Maybe it's time to swap your morning coffee with this recipe for a protein-filled choco-coffee drink, making your life more trouble-free , delicious and chocolatey! Just use your blender…and you're done.
And who can say "no" to a drink that tastes like coffee? This choco-coffee drink alone contains 21 g of protein per serving. To prepare this beverage, simply use some ingenuity – use Natrel Plus Chocolate, which contains 2x more protein per serving than regular 2% milk and 50% less sugar than regular chocolate milk. Want more protein? Just add ground oats, which will also give this delicious drink a velvety, creamy flavour, keeping you satisfied all morning.
125 ml (½ cup) freshly brewed French press or percolator coffee
1 banana (frozen)
500 ml (2 cups) Natrel Plus Chocolate
60 ml (¼ cup) quick-cooking oatmeal
Grind 15 ml to 45 ml (2–3 tbsp.) of coffee beans. Push the ground coffee to the bottom of the coffee maker, add water, let steep and press. In a mill or mortar, grind the oatmeal into a fine powder. Set aside.
In your blender, put the banana, Natrel Plus 2% Chocolate and ground oatmeal. Blend all ingredients to a smooth consistency. Pour the mixture into a large glass and add the coffee. Serve with fresh fruit or a muffin.
